Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Boumalne Dades – Across the High Atlas Peaks

Your grand Moroccan journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech. We immediately ascend into the magnificent High Atlas Mountains, navigating the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass 2,260 meters). We will pause at scenic viewpoints to absorb the breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged Berber landscape.

Our journey continues to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah and a renowned cinematic backdrop. After lunch, we proceed through Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” Our final leg of the day takes us through the fragrant Rose Valley before arriving in Boumalne Dades, where you will check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades to Merzouga – Gorges and the Golden Dunes

After a delicious breakfast, we journey deeper south. Our first stop is the magnificent Todra Gorge, a monumental canyon where you can take a leisurely walk to appreciate the immense scale of the 300 meter-high rock walls.

The drive continues toward the mystical Sahara Desert. Upon arrival in Merzouga, a caravan of camels awaits to carry you across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. This timeless, authentic experience is perfectly timed for you to witness a breathtaking Saharan sunset. Afterwards, we settle into our traditional desert camp for a magical night filled with traditional Berber music under a star-studded canopy.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert to Fes – From Oasis to Imperial City

An early wake-up call is richly rewarded with the spectacle of a magnificent desert sunrise. After breakfast, we bid farewell to the Sahara and begin our long journey northward to Fes.

Our route first traces the impressive Ziz Valley, a stunning, contrasting oasis of vibrant palm groves. We then ascend into the Middle Atlas Mountains, pausing for lunch in Midelt. As we travel through the ancient cedar forests near Azrou, we will look out for the playful Barbary apes. Finally, we pass through the alpine-style town of Ifrane before concluding our day in the legendary imperial city of Fes.

Day 4: Fes to Chefchaouen – The Journey to the Blue Pearl

Today, we trade the ancient history of Fes for the picturesque landscapes of the Rif Mountains. Our captivating destination is Chefchaouen, the enchanting ‘Blue Pearl’ of Morocco.

We are scheduled to arrive in the afternoon. The rest of the day is entirely yours to immerse yourself in its spellbinding, blue-washed medina. Enjoy getting wonderfully lost in its serene, azure-hued alleys, discovering unique photo opportunities around every peaceful corner. Dinner will be at your leisure in this beautiful town.

Day 5: Chefchaouen to Tangier – Gateway to Europe

After a leisurely breakfast in Chefchaouen, we depart for the coast. Our first stop is Tetouan, often called the “White Dove,” celebrated for its exquisite Hispano-Moorish architecture and UNESCO-listed medina.

We then continue to Tangier, the mythical, bustling gateway where Africa and Europe meet across the Strait of Gibraltar. Upon arrival, you will have the afternoon and evening free to begin exploring this historic port city, perhaps visiting the Kasbah or the famous Cap Spartel.

Day 6: Tangier to Asilah – Coastal Art and Ramparts

This morning, we journey south along the beautiful Atlantic coastline. Our destination is the charming artistic seaside town of Asilah, renowned for its well-preserved, white-washed medina.

What truly sets Asilah apart are the vibrant murals and street art that adorn its walls, effectively transforming the entire city into an open-air gallery. You’ll have ample time to explore its historic ramparts, which overlook the ocean, and soak in the tranquil, bohemian atmosphere.

Day 7: Asilah to Rabat – The Elegant Capital

Our scenic coastal drive continues south to Morocco’s elegant political capital, Rabat. Upon arrival, we will embark on a tour to introduce you to its most significant landmarks.

We will visit the iconic Hassan Tower and the majestic Mausoleum of Mohammed V. This exploration showcases Rabat’s unique blend of rich Islamic history and sophisticated modern design. Afterwards, you will check into your hotel for the night.

Day 8: Rabat to Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque and Departure

On our final morning, we travel to the bustling metropolis of Casablanca. Here, a major highlight awaits: the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, majestically positioned overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Following this impressive visit, your unforgettable 8-day tour officially concludes with a convenient transfer to your Casablanca hotel or directly to the airport for your departure.
